Coronationville, Johannesburg
On Wayne Mathew Naidoo’s heavenly 28th birthday, the Foundation unveiled the first Wayne Mathew Naidoo Room of Care at Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital, South Africa’s only public mother and child hospital.
Wayne spent his final birthday in hospital. That experience shaped this project. We saw how vulnerable hospital stays can be, even in spaces where support exists. Many families in public healthcare do not have that same comfort.
The Room of Care has been created to offer dignity during some of life’s most fragile moments. It serves mothers whose babies are facing medical complications, parents navigating extended hospital stays, women who need privacy while breastfeeding, and families in need of a quiet space to rest and pray.
The space was fully transformed with fresh paint, greenery, reading material, custom-made seating and secure lockers. It was built to last. We do not believe in temporary solutions. We believe that people deserve excellence, especially in their most vulnerable moments.
In honour of Wayne’s 28 years, the Foundation also provided 28 dignity packs for babies requiring extended hospital stays, each containing essential care items to offer practical support and comfort.

Free State
The Wayne Mathew Naidoo Foundation sponsored a reconstructive ear surgery for a young boy in the Free State who was severely injured in a dog attack.
The procedure, valued at R11,200, was successfully completed and formed a critical part of his recovery.
Through our Health care focus area, we support life-changing medical interventions for children and families who would otherwise not have access to essential treatment.
This surgery restored more than physical healing. It helped restore confidence, dignity and the opportunity for a child to move forward.
Weskoppies, Pretoria
For Wayne’s 27th heavenly birthday, the Wayne Mathew Naidoo Foundation transformed Ward 2 at Weskoppies Public Psychiatric Hospital into a space of dignity, safety and hope for teenagers facing trauma and emotional hardship.
This was not about upgrading a room. It was about changing how it feels to walk into it.
Both the boys’ and girls’ wards were refreshed with calming colour and care. Comfortable seating created space for connection. A new communal chalkboard encourages expression. A Wall of Encouragement now reminds every patient that they are seen, valued and not alone.
Wayne believed in building people.
At Weskoppies, that belief became a space where healing can begin.

The Wayne Mathew Naidoo Foundation recently brought joy to 28 abused and abandoned children at the Lakehaven Child & Youth Care Centre. Each child received a personalized toiletry pack, with additional hygiene supplies donated, providing the orphanage with the essential resources needed to care for its children during the upcoming months. The donation also included groceries, soccer balls, netball balls and a pizza treat for everyone, including the five caretakers.
As Durban braces for its sweltering summer, these essential contributions offer timely relief while also providing vital opportunities for exercise, teamwork, and enjoyment. We’re honored to enhance the well-being of this incredible orphanage, one smile at a time.
